        One of the most important financial decisions most people make is the purchase or the sale of their home. Our homes are usually the most costly investment too. The first step is to hire a good realtor. There are many qualities you'll want your realtor to possess.

        First, you'll want a Realtor® who keeps abreast about the changing real estate market. An Agent must be able to change the way they do business as the market dictates.  I am continuously reading literature, attending post licensing classes, seminars, various training classes, and sales meetings twice a week. Topics of interest include real estate law, market conditions, technology, mortgage loan options and marketing techniques. Continuous training and education is a benefit I pass to my clients. I want you to be knowladgeable about your options allowing your to make informed decisions. I give my clients 110%. I believe a good agent should listen first then address each concern.  Frequent and informative communication is a must in a agent and client relationship. Being patient not pushy makes me an agent easy to work with.

Second, you'll want an agent with the experience and knowledge of the cities and businesses in the Hampton Roads area. A good agent must have a referral base of professionals from local mortgage lenders to various types of inspectors. As a Native of Hampton Roads I've lived in Virginia Beach, and Chesapeake. I previously worked in Norfolk and Portsmouth and am familiar with Suffolk. Visit some of the local links I have included on my website.  You'll find links to the home page of most Hampton Roads cities. They provide information from schools to zoning ordinances.

Third, you'll want an agent who is familiar and comfortable using the latest technology. With most people searching the internet for homes it's imperative I have a web presence.
